VENDOR AGREEMENT PURPOSE CLAUSE:

 The NYC Multicultural Festival is a mission-driven event produced by New York African Chorus Ensemble, Inc. to promote cultural understanding, community engagement, and the celebration of diverse heritages through the arts. 


By participating as a vendor, you agree that your goods, services, or food offerings are aligned with the cultural, educational, or artistic spirit of the festival and contribute to the public’s experience of multicultural traditions. 

Vendor Criteria Clause:

 Vendors must offer products or services that are consistent with the mission of the festival, such as traditional cuisine, artisan crafts, cultural apparel, educational materials, or other mission-aligned goods. 


 NYACE reserves the right to decline vendors whose offerings are not compatible with the cultural and educational objectives of the event.

Event Details

(Differences in regulations depending on the venue)


Day 1 – Park Festival

  • Date: June 6, 2026
     
  • Time: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
     
  • Location: Usually takes place on Jackie Robinson Park Bandshell
    116 Bradhurst Ave., New York, NY 10039
    (Cross street: 148th Street & Bradhurst Avenue)
     

Day 2 – Street Festival

  • Date: June 20, 2026
     
  • Time: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
     
  • Location: Usually takes place on St. Nicholas Avenue (between 141st & 145th Streets)
    Harlem, NY
     

Food Vendor Registration


Important: Please review Food Vendor Registration Requirements and  Cooking Regulations for each festival location before registering.


Day 1- Park Venue


Early Bird Registration (April 20th) With Free Rentals (First-come, first-served) Park Venue

  • Food Vendor: $125
     
  • Propane/Fuel Fee (if using gasoline or propane): $50 additional fee
     
  • All vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for Commercial General Liability Insurance (NYC Parks requirement)
  • Or optional festival-arranged insurance: $89 per person (if you cannot provide your own).

 

  • Workers’ Compensation Exemption (Form CE-200)
     
  • Includes: 10x10 raw space + free tent, table and chair (Day 2 also includes free tent)
     

Early Bird Vendor Space Only – No Rentals Included Park Venue

  • Food Vendor: $125
     
  • All vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for Commercial General Liability Insurance (NYC Parks requirement)
  • Or optional festival-arranged insurance: $89 per person (if you cannot provide your own).

 

  • Workers’ Compensation Exemption (Form CE-200)
     
  • Includes: 10x10 raw space only
    You may bring your own table, chair, and tent or add rentals at checkout.
     

Standard Registration (After April 20th) Park Venue

  • Food Vendor: $150
     
  • All vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for Commercial General Liability Insurance (NYC Parks requirement)
  • Or optional festival-arranged insurance: $89 per person (if you cannot provide your own).

 

  • Workers’ Compensation Exemption (Form CE-200) 
  • Includes: 10x10 raw space only
    Rentals are available for purchase during registration checkout.
     

Insurance & Permit Requirements (DAY 1-for the Park Venue ONLY)

  • Certificate of Insurance (COI): Required for Commercial General Liability Insurance per NYC Parks Department regulations. Specific wording will be provided.


  •  Workers’ Compensation Exemption (Form CE-200)
     
  • Festival Insurance Option: $89 per person (for vendors unable to provide their own COI).
  • Permits: All food vendors must provide:
     
    • DOHMH Temporary Food Service Establishment Permit
       
    • Valid Food Handlers Certificate

Day 2 – Street Festival


Early Bird Registration (April 20th) With Free Rentals (First-come, first-served) Street Venue
 

  • Food Vendor: $125
     
  • Includes: 10x10 raw space + free table, tent, and chair
     
  • Early Bird Vendor Space Only – No Rentals Included
     
    • Food Vendor: $125
       
    • Includes: 10x10 raw space only
      (You may bring your own setup or add rentals at checkout.)
       

Standard Registration (After April 20th) Street Venue

  • Food Vendor: $150
     
  • Includes: 10x10 raw space only
    (Rentals available for purchase during registration.)
     

Cooking Regulations 

 

Day 1 – Jackie Robinson Park Bandshell

  • Vendors must unload and hand-carry items into the park (stairs at park entrance).
     
  • Bring your own fire extinguisher.
     
  • Wrap burners completely in aluminum foil (including stands).
     
  • Grilling is allowed with a lid; pre-cooked food recommended.


  • Styrofoam plates are banned — use eco-friendly alternatives.
     
  • No generators or electricity provided.
     
  • 🚫 Not Allowed: Open flames, propane, or gas grills
     

Day 2 – St. Nicholas Avenue (Street Festival)

(Differences from park regulations)

  • Burners must be fully wrapped in aluminum foil.
     
  • Grilling is allowed with a lid; burners may also be used.
     
  • If using charcoal, you must remove your ashes after the event.
     
  • Styrofoam plates are banned — use eco-friendly alternatives.
     
  • Gas cooking is allowed with a maximum of 10 pounds (additional fees apply).
     
  • Vendors must provide their own approved generator and fire extinguisher.
     
  • No electricity or open propane flames permitted.
     

Registration Process

  1. Choose your vendor category (Food Vendor, Retail Vendor, Sponsor, Social Services, etc.).
     
  2. Select your ticket type:
     
    • Early Bird with Free Rentals
       
    • Vendor Space Only – No Rentals Included
       
    • Standard Registration (After Early Bird Deadline)
       

  1. Add rental items (tables, chairs, tents) if needed.
     
  2. Complete registration and payment via Eventbrite or mail money order to:

  1. Save your Eventbrite ticket (print or digital). Tickets are required for entry at the gate.
     

Additional Opportunities

  • Advertising: Ask about full-page ads in our festival program to promote your business.
     
  • Promotion: Once approved, help spread the word by sharing digital festival flyers and info on your social platforms.
     

Refund Policy

No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

NYC Multicultural Festival Food Vendor Requirements

Food Vendor (read carefully)

All Food Vendors Must have the following:

1.  DOHMH Temporary Food Service Establishment Permit. The permit can be obtained through the Department of Consumer Affairs.

2. Food Handlers Certificate

All Food vendors must have a Food Handlers Certificate to be allowed to serve food to the public. If you need to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate visit: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/business/health-academy/food-protection-online-free.page

3. For all vendors participating in Day 1 at the Jackie Robinson Park Bandshell- Saturday, June 6, 2026, festival, the following items are also required by the City and State agencies. These documents are not difficult to obtain and remember that we are here to help you every step of the way. Please email us these items no later than May 1, 2026.​ 


A)   Proof of Workers’ Compensation - There are three possible types of Worker’s Compensation, of which we only need one.   

       

C-105.2 Certificate of Worker’s Compensation Insurance;   

OR       

U-26.3 State Insurance Fund Certificate of Workers’ Compensation Insurance;   

OR

 Request for Workers’ Compensation Exemption (Form CE-200) which can be requested online via the following link. Once completed online, print the form, and sign and date it: http://www.wcb.ny.gov/content/ebiz/wc_db_exemptions/requestExemptionOverview.jsp

All information that is provided by Vendors/Merchants is considered  confidential and is only shared with the applicable City agencies and services that require such information.  All Vendors/Merchants will be contacted directly via email, phone or in person to fully validate your information.   All Vendors/Merchants Spot #, location, own tables required, tent, and requirements must be indicated on application. You should plan on being ready to setup by 9 am or once NYPD allows access to the area.
