The upcoming 17th annual NYC Multicultural Festival remains a vital platform for strengthening community bonds, celebrating cultural diversity, and actively working to reduce the stereotypes that can lead to hate crimes.
Each year, we bring world-class, culturally diverse performances directly to our community at Jackie Robinson park and St. Nicholas Avenue, ensuring that low-income families have free and meaningful access to the arts.
Just as importantly, the festival creates a welcoming, neutral space where civilians and police can engage in open, positive dialogue, helping to build trust and deepen mutual understanding in a setting rooted in celebration and unity.
This year, we are also exploring the addition of a community viewing of an international soccer match alongside the live performances, creating an even more inclusive and engaging experience.

"There is so much to see at the annual NYC Multicultural Festival."-Ms. Lopez
I have a newfound respect for police officers after witnessing Assistant Chief Ruel Stephenson, the Commanding Officer of NYPD Patrol Borough Manhattan North, freely interacting with attendees. After a conversation with Chief Stephenson during the festival, I have a greater appreciation for the police force.
